Find four hidden marks in ten guesses. Repeats are allowed. Each guess shows how many are in the right place and how many in the wrong place.
Keys: 1 to 6 place a mark, Backspace deletes, Enter guesses.

Wrong place: the right mark in a different slot.
How it works
The page hides a row of four marks. There are six different marks, and the same mark can appear more than once.
You have ten guesses. After each guess you are told two numbers: how many marks are the right mark in the right place, and how many are the right mark in a different place.
Example: the hidden row is A A B C and you guess B A A D. The second mark matches in place, so that is 1 right place. B and the other A are in the row but in other slots, so that is 2 wrong place. The D is not in the row. Each hidden mark is counted once, so a repeated mark in your guess is not over-counted.

Your best score (fewest guesses) is kept in this browser only. The game is played on your device and a new row is picked from your browser's random numbers. A simple visit counter loads, see the footer. A game you have not finished is lost if you close the page.
